Stakeholder Meeting
Memphis Botanic Garden

The desired outcome of the stakeholder meeting on August 12, 2008 at the Memphis Botanic Garden is to gain feedback from community stakeholder organizations about the formation and focus of Greening Greater Memphis. Specifically, Greening Greater Memphis wants input on proposed concepts for five specific topics that are outlined in this discussion document

Following a presentation of the above, we will conduct small group table discussions. Attendees will spend 10-15 minutes discussing each of the five topics.
In order to guide the table discussions, the attached documents will be distributed in advance to those who RSVP, as well as handed out at the meeting.
Facilitators will be assigned to each table to capture the feedback from stakeholder participants. Discussions will center on the questions in the shaded area at the bottom of each of the following Stakeholder Discussion documents labeled “A” thru “E”. Facilitators will use their discretion should a different discussion question arise from within a table discussion group. Following the stakeholder meeting, the Greening Greater Memphis steering committee will review the feedback from stakeholder participants and factor that into a draft strategic plan.
The draft strategic plan will be presented at a second meeting in October or November 2008. The exact date has not been set.
